Agency Boardroom

For more than a decade I have been running and coaching all kinds of marketing agencies, from SEO and PPC, to email and creative, web development, analytics, content production… The list goes on and on.

Whether the goal has been to have their first 7 figure year, double revenue, increase profits, or just spend less time in the business (and more time living their life), the formula for doing so is always the same.

Over and over again, I see the same systematic issues restricting these agencies from growing & thriving:

  • A general lack of SOPs, process design, and documentation. Missing systems for employee growth, satisfaction, and compensation.
  • Too reliant on referrals; can’t predict growth (or prepare for it)
  • No standardization (checklists) of core deliverables; can’t scale if you’re constantly changing your offering or tailoring it to ad-hoc client requests.
  • Weak systems for measurement and internal reporting; impossible to get an accurate measure of profit, and you can’t improve what you can’t measure.
Some of these issues I resolved myself after many failed attempts. Others weren’t resolved until I built a board of experienced agency owners who showed me the systems and processes that I simply didn’t have (and wasn’t aware of).

I’m taking everything I learned growing FTF to an 8 figure agency over the past 10 years, and putting it into a deep dive board meeting focused on fast tracking the highest impact areas for agency owners who are “stuck” where I once was.

During this intensive program we will do the following:

Create Your Ideal Ops Infrastructure – Over the years I have worked with 5 and 6 figure agencies to grow them to 7-8 figures, and they all have one thing in common; a reliable approach for managing (and planning) resource utilization, to flip this from a purely operational process to being a point of leverage to support strategic growth.
  3. Optimize Your Onboarding (for new clients and new employees) – Most agencies are leaving insane amounts of money on the table by not leveraging this core process in the most advantageous ways possible.
  4. Identifying, hiring, and retaining A Players.
  5. Deal With the unique obstacles within your agency and book of clients.

Night 0

Happy Hour

Starting, running and growing an agency is a lonely business. Which is WHY we are hosting an informal social event to kick off this intense 2 day board-level event.

Day 01

Setting the stage, identifying patterns for leverage, and sharing critical lessons learned working with nearly 100 agencies over the past 5 years.

  • An operational framework for managing resources and protecting resource load to maximize profit from your existing team.
  • Understanding the 2 sides of the client management coin; client satisfaction (happiness) vs. client success (results), and how your team should be managing each harmoniously.
  • How to design a killer offer your ideal clients can’t refuse.
  • Creating your growth engine for short, mid and long term; a 90, 180, and multi-year strategy for generating demand.
  • Onboarding optimized to engage clients *and* team members
  • Understand “The A Player Mindset” to unlock this within yourself and within your team. 

Day 02

Foundations, Unique Challenges, and Getting to the Core of Your Agency Advantage

  • Connect with peers to understand where each is at on a personal level, and how it’s directly impacting their agency’s success.
  • Find clarity on your biggest obstacle so clarify the single most important hurdle you need to overcome first.
  • Audit your core operational processes from managing your day to day communications, expectations across your team and clients, and what you’re doing to grow your business.
  • Hear about agency owners exactly like you, exactly where you’re at, and what they did (and when) to unlock sustainable growth and momentum with their agency teams.

At the end of Agency Boardroom, you will have:

  • A sharp understanding of your biggest current challenge, and how to solve it.
  • A resource management and projection framework used by 8 figure agencies to manage their production schedules and resource load, profitably.
  • At least 2 new productized service offerings and strategies for how to sell them 
  • A proven process for expanding revenue from current clients 20%+ every year like clockwork
  • A personalized onboarding checklist for new clients and new team members
  • A deep understanding of building a world-class team, and the mindset to get you started.

How will you make all of this actionable?

  • The first day is focused on giving you the exact systems and templates you need to run each of the mission critical processes we will review during the meeting.
  • I’m going to walk you through each process in detail, but the beautiful part about these templates is they’re already designed to support an exact process mapped to how agency services need to be delivered for 1) scale and 2) profit. 
  • Every template and supporting document will be copied into an individual Google Drive folder that is yours to keep.
  • We will then spend day 2 addressing your individual needs/challenges and integrating these into your agency, based on your unique situation and goals.
